8-10th of September 2016
Three days of performances, workshops, site specific, meetings and festival feeling. All venues and program activities are free of charge which makes the festival more accessible to the audience.
This year we wish to add focus towards the younger audience with a children's performance, workshop and talk.
Abundance have been arranged every third year since 2004.
EFFE (Europe For Festivals, Festivals For Europe) were founded by the European Festivals Association. It is a new international festival platform connecting festivals that are deeply committed to the arts, their communities and European values. The organization is a collaboration between the European Commission and the European Parlament. EFFE's first mission was to create a quality label.
The label is a proof that the festival has an artistic commitment, community involvement and a festival’s international and global outlook. And all this increases the value of the European culture.
As the only pure dance festival in Sweden and one of two in the Scandinavian countries - Abundance got the label. And we are more than proud to announce this for you!
All the festival are listed at EFFE's web page.

Abundance in 2013 was a success. For us as organizers it felt like we met our goal; reach the people in the city environment, let them meet the dance as art form in the centre of town and to get the participants from all over the world feel welcome and provided for.
We have got a lot of praise, and some critique - but the audience we had were larger than ever and we met more people from different groups than before.
PROGRAMME OF ABUNDANCE 2013
Read the Programme of Abundance 2013 (PDF) to see how the festival is composed.
The festival it self will take place in the centre of Karlstad. We believe that this is where the most of the audience will be, and we want as many spontaneous visitors as possible. We will set up tha main stage on the town square, were we hope to create an inviting atmosphere for you and all those who want to watch your performances.
Around the city centre we will have site-specific areas located, all within a few minutes walking distance from the town square. We want to make it easy for your audience to walk about and experience all parts of the festival.
